Aggeliki Karavioti

Dr. Aggeliki Karavioti currently holds the position of Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (FORTH/ICE-HT), where she is also a member of the Composites & Nanostructured Materials Laboratory (CNM) since 2025. She completed her undergraduate studies in Materials Science at the University of Patras, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in 2014. Subsequently, she pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Chemical Engineering from the same institution, which she completed in 2017, building on a solid foundation of interdisciplinary knowledge in both materials’ science and chemical engineering. Dr. Karavioti’s doctoral research, undertaken at the University of Patras/Physics Department and completed at the beginning of 2022, was focused on the “Synthesis and Characterization of Perovskite Solar Cells under Ambient Conditions,” where she investigated the fabrication, stability, and performance of perovskite-based photovoltaic devices outside of controlled laboratory conditions. In addition to her doctoral research, she has co-authored 10 peer-reviewed scientific articles published in leading international journals, and she has actively participated in more than five scientific conferences. Her current research interests focus on the exploration and application of graphene-based materials from green synthesis approaches on the protection of cultural heritage items.
