Christos Tsakonas

Dr. Christos Tsakonas is a postdoctoral researcher at FORTH/ICE-HT and the University of Patras. He got the PhD in Chemical Engineering at University of Patras in 2022. His PhD research focused on production of graphene sheets with chemical vapour deposition by solid and liquid catalytic routes. He received his diploma in Chemical Engineering from the University of Patras in 2014 and his MSc in computational mechanics from National Technical University of Athens in 2017. His MSc work focused on investigation of chemical vapor deposition processes using computational models. He has coauthored 11 scientific papers in international journals and participated to more than 15 conferences. His current research activities are focused on the production graphene and other 2D materials, their characterization using both in situ and ex situ techniques, and their application in cultural heritage preservation.
