Nikolaos Koutroumanis

Nikolaos Koutroumanis obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Patras in 2020. He received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees from the Department of Materials Science at the University of Patras in 2014 and 2012, respectively. From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the CNML Lab of ICE-HT FORTH.

Asemina Toliza

Asemina Toliza obtained her diploma in Chemical Engineering in 1996 at the Polytechnic School of University of Patras. Before obtaining her degree, she was trained in industrial environment. For almost five years, she worked as a research assistant at the Laboratory of “Transport Phenomena and Physicochemical Hydrodynamics” Chemical Eng. Department, University of Patras. Next, she worked at the Pharmacy Department of Patras University and she also had a short work contract with Hellenic Bottle Company COCA COLA 3E, at the department of production and incoming raw materials quality control. For almost four years, she worked at SILCIO SA PV Company as a Metrology and Quality engineer. From 2016 to 2023 she worked as research assistant in the context of the Flagship Research Projects Graphene Core 1, 2, 3: “Graphene-Graphene based disruptive technologies” at the institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences, Foundation of Research and Technology – Hellas, (FORTH/ICE-HT). Since 2024 she is working at the University of Patras in the context of the International project 2D ENHANCED: “Lightweight composites with 2D-material enhancement for plastic, construction and aerospace industries”.

Anastasios Manikas

Dr. Anastasios Manikas is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Patras. His research focuses on the development and physicochemical characterization of functional nanomaterials, with a specialization in vibrational spectroscopy (Raman and IR) and two-dimensional materials (2DMs), such as graphene. He has extensive experience in CVD synthesis of single-crystal graphene on liquid metal catalysts, SERS-based biosensors, and multifunctional nanolaminate and composite systems for applications in gas separation, EMI shielding, and sustainable polymer technologies. His approach combines spectroscopy, microscopy, and mechanical diagnostics to explore structure–property relationships across multiple scales. He has participated in more than 20 national and European research projects; he has co-authored over 45 peer-reviewed publications and presented his work at more than 50 international conferences.

George Anagnostopoulos

Dr. George Anagnostopoulos is a seasoned Chemical Engineer, PhD with a strong track record in industry as well as in research. Since he obtained his doctoral degree, he has worked as research fellow at University of Patras and as external affiliate with FORTH/ICEHT. For 5 years he worked in Photovoltaic Industry, initially as Process engineer and then as a Production Manager developing technical skills such as production data analysis, research for new processing methods. He has worked as Project Coordinator at Chalmers University of Technology while he has been a freelancer in various companies as project manager. With more than 15 EU and national funded scientific projects participation, he has vast experience in project management. He has published 30 pear reviewed papers in international refereed scientific journals; he has participated in more than 20 international conferences/workshops/schools. His work has been cited more than 750 times and has achieved an h-index greater than 15.
